This should not be a happy place, this place of being stuck behind a dark drape, waiting out the rise and fall of the heat of the day. Instead it feels fine, even comfortable. The healing bitter sweet aroma of the gum tree waits outdoors for the boiling sun to get even hotter and then let go. The very bottom of the drapes suddenly billow out, bringing with them a fragrance to the indoors, a gift of the flowers, carried on the wind. Something in the wilderness is playing. It brings to mind a blueberry that was picked in the cool hours of the morning. It’s taste was very tart and somewhat sweet. It can be remembered with a smile. Behind the dark slightly transparent drapes are massive volumes of deep green leaves, making little more than cloud shapes with blue voids from indoors. Cold water is sipped and drips from the bottom of the cup. Only another couple hours of reading and napping remain before the sun leaves its high point in the sky.
The book of Ezekiel, chapter forty one
Abba Father, grant us your peace regarding the events of our era. Visit your people to reassure them that you are God. Please reveal to us the meanings in your word, the Bible. In the name of your word, Yeshua Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Ezekiel described the last few features of the temple before he moved on. The building was ornate and, in comparison to our records of Solomon’s temple, it was odd. Temple furnishings were made of finished wood, not gold covered wood. Rough wooden beams were used to uphold the roof. Surfaces were paneled with finished, and decorated wood, not gold leafed.
It was as if a carpenter finished the temple in a display of his best work.
And there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and upon the side chambers of the house, and thick planks.
Trimmed windows were in all the buildings of the temple complex. Decorations of palm trees were on each side of the windows. Something about Ezekiel’s description of them seems odd. The palm trees adorned the building across the front, sides, and on each side chamber.
Most of the temple drawings I’ve seen make the windows very narrow, because of the word narrow. Upon closer inspection, the word means that the window was narrowed by the use of a jamb or simply a window trim. To narrow was a carpenter’s term meaning to finish the edges with decorative trim.
Every window and every door of the temple complex was finished with beveled trim. Was the beveled trim shaped into palm trees? How beautiful that bit of carving would appear! It would cause someone touring the temple complex to take note!
I can no longer say that this temple complex could not have been built after 33 AD, just because we no longer need sacrifices after Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice. Ezekiel’s temple appeared to have quite a bit of input from a man well-trained in carpentry.
Could the carpenter be known by the Hebrew name Yeshua, whom we call Jesus?
Life in the hollow, Wednesday
Was it three weeks ago? God’s Holy Spirit told me to begin using the provisions that he had previously instructed me to store up. That means we’ve entered a time of trouble, with about two months of it left. He has not called this the great tribulation, but it is still a time of trouble that needs to be respected.
Then yesterday, Holy Spirit repeated his message of, “fight back”. And I kept asking, “How do I do that?”
The trees glistened in the evening light as I asked. In fact, they glimmered more than usual, as if some great spiritual army were in the trees waving at me and hollering, “Send me!”
So, I prayed for the armies of heaven to go and get ideas and report back to me about how I need to target my prayers against demonic events of my day.
Within a few minutes, words came to me. First, God’s people should play music and sing songs of praise while heaven’s warriors fight. We should ask God for confusion among the enemy’s spies. We should ask God for confusion within facets of the government where there are enemy spies. Make the enemy spy on their own spies and waste their own time in that state of confusion. Cause the enemy to make war on itself.
I am asking any who have read this far to help me with this prayer. Help me pray that the enemy’s spies (which is really the enemy’s demons, spirits, etc) will be confused and turn to spy and war on themselves.
Jesus once said, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53). Should we, as co-heirs with Christ, not be capable of the same?
Abba Father, I am your servant. I submit to your will. In the name of Yeshua Jesus, which I live under, I take authority over all the power of the enemy. I request twelve legions of angels to turn the spies of my enemy and your enemy, to spy on themselves and to war on themselves. Lord, please let none of those people who could have your favor be hurt in this war. In the name of Yeshua, I say to those heavenly warriors, “GO!”.
I was also told that the postal workers, in the course of their daily work, have seen all and they are tired of carrying the truths they have seen. Apparently they know truths that few acknowledge. They are about to rise up.
Abba Father, I request that you send your angels to surround any person who has seen the truth and wishes to stand up and reveal the truth. Lord, give them the courage of Jesus. Give them your voice of thunder. Give them your fiery passion. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
That carpenter who died on a cross two thousand years ago gave us his name. We should use that name to its fullest in our day.
